Will Pocono Turn Around Earnhardt’s Season?

It’s no secret that Dale Earnhardt Jr. has struggled this season. Not only has NASCAR’s most popular driver failed to capture wins at Talladega and Daytona, which are two of his best tracks; he also has put himself in position to win a race time and time again, but always seemed to come up short at the end of the day. Even worse, he only has 12 more races to lock himself in the Chase via a win.

As for Jr.’s chances on Sunday, he does have two wins at the track, but doesn’t exactly have what fans would call a great record at the tricky triangle. In fact, Jr. only has ten top-five’s and 14 top-ten’s in 32 career races at the track. While that’s not exactly a horrible record, Pocono has still always been a hit or miss track for Junebug.
