NASCAR: Five Bold Predictions For The Rest Of The 2016 Season
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Doesn’t Win And Misses The Chase
I know! Blasphemy right?
With that being said and the up and down year Dale Earnhardt Jr. has had, it isn’t out of the realm of possibilities that Jr. fails to secure a win and spot in the Chase in the final races of the regular season. Not only that, he also has been falling steadily out of the top-16 in points for the last couple of weeks and not many races remaining really favor the most popular driver getting a win.
I guess Jr. could find some success at Daytona, Michigan and Pocono, but there are still a laundry list of other races that could serve to knock Jr. out of Chase contention for the first time since the introduction of the new Chase format. For example, Jr. would have to come out of tracks like Kentucky, Darlington and Watkins Glen with good performances, which is something that will be a tall order for Junebug.
