NASCAR heads to it’s first road course of the season at Sonoma Raceway for the Toyota – Save Mart 350 this Sunday. Here are four predictions to look out for when the race goes green.

This Sunday at Sonoma NASCAR will be taking a break from the standard oval tracks and heading to a road course in Wine Country.

Road courses always make for an interesting style of racing, and bring in a couple of extra drivers, road course ringers, that you don’t typically see race at normal NASCAR tracks. Fans also see drivers like A.J. Allmendinger come alive at this style of track as he’s known for his road course expertise.

Road Courses like Sonoma can also lead to some of the best racing seen all year and really test just how good a driver is.

Kyle Busch for example started his championship run at this track last year and is the defending winner here. Will he get into victory lane this season as well?

What about the rookie drivers of Chase Elliot and Ryan Blaney? They’ve been two drivers everyone is talking about all season, but will they continue running well at their first Sprint Cup road course? Will they struggle or run well and prove to everyone that not only are they the future or NASCAR, but that they’re already top drivers in the sport?

Sonoma is a great change of pace from the typical NASCAR tracks and anything can happen on Sunday. Here are four predictions fans should look out for when the green flag drops to start the Toyota – Save Mart 350.
