NASCAR Checkered Countdown: Top-Five New Hampshire Finishes
No.4 Stewart wins for the second week in a row after Clint Bowyer runs out of fuel (2011).
In what would become a magic year for him Stewart did not run well in the regular season, with no wins. But once the Chase began he started showing his real potential with a victory in the first Chase race at Chicagoland. The following week at New Hampshire he was again in the hunt for the victory and tracking down the leader Clint Bowyer in the closing laps.
They both were short on fuel but the one who did not make it was the leader Bowyer who was forced to surrender the lead with just two laps to go. Stewart easily drove to victory, making it the second one in two races and starting in the best of ways what would become an unforgettable Chase for the Sprint Cup.
