With four races to go, the battle for the Verizon IndyCar Series championship heads to the tricky triangle. Here are the big contenders for the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono.

The 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series championship is winding down, with just four races to go to decide who will hoist the Astor Cup. Two road courses and two ovals remain for the top open-wheel racers in the country, and three weeks in a row of racing kicks off on Sunday with the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway.

Ryan Hunter-Reay is the defending winner of the race at “The Tricky Triangle,” though the 2015 edition will be remembered for the tragic death of Justin Wilson. In its return to a 500-mile distance in 2014, Juan Pablo Montoya won the race in the fastest 500-mile IndyCar race ever. The first winner after the race’s revival in 2013 was Scott Dixon, at a 400-mile distance.

Speed, car control, and understanding how to get through three different corners at Pocono Raceway will all be key to ending the day in victory lane. Simon Pagenaud enters the mountains of Pennsylvania with a 58 point lead over teammate Will Power, with Helio Castroneves in a distant third. Can Pagenaud pad his points lead, or will someone close the gap ahead of the double-points finale at Sonoma?

Here are your IndyCar Power Rankings for the upcoming race at Pocono Raceway:

Last Four Out:  Sebastian Bourdais, Alexander Rossi, Takuma Sato, Ed Carpenter
