No. 6 – Team Penske

Team Value: $135 million / 2016 Team Revenue: $62 million

Welcome to the $100 million club. Team Penske is the first team on this list to be worth more than $100 million and the top-five will obviously be above that mark as well.

The one thing that is holding back Team Penske from being higher on this list is the fact that they are only a two-car operation. Even though their two cars are successful, it’s just harder for a team with only two cars to generate the money that a successful team with three or more cars can.

In the future it is expected that Ryan Blaney will come over and officially join Team Penske. If that does indeed happen it’s reasonable to believe that Team Penske could challenge a couple of the teams in front of them on this list.

As far as their two drivers go, both of them should be locks to make the playoffs this season. Brad Keselowski just won in Atlanta and Joey Logano is sure to win sometime soon this season. Once in the playoffs Kes needs to focus on making the final-four for the first time and Logano (who has frequented the final-four) needs to finally close the deal and win a championship.
