NASCAR is heading west this Sunday and their first stop will be at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Here are five predictions for fans to think about for the Kobalt 400.

After a mile and a half race last week where Kevin Harvick dominated only to lose because he was penalized for speeding on pit road, NASCAR is once again headed to a mile and a half track but this time they will be at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Ford has been the manufacturer to beat early in the season and has won both races this year. They will be looking to continue running strong at Vegas, but it might be time for another manufacturer to step up and take the spotlight away from Ford.

And how will stages impact the race at Las Vegas? They couldn’t slow down Kevin Harvick last week, but will we finally see them play a major role in a race? Stages have impacted the standings by making them a little more confusing and supposedly rewarding drivers who race hard, but fans are still waiting for them to make races exciting.

The third race of the season is this Sunday and with it we could see yet another driver lock themselves into the playoffs.

Before the race starts though, here are five predictions to watch out for during the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
