NASCAR is headed to the desert for the Camping World 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. What will happen this Sunday when the green flag drops? Here are five predictions to look out for during the race at Phoenix.

NASCAR is continuing to head west for this part of the Monster Energy Cup Series and their next stop is at Phoenix International Raceway.

Phoenix is a great change of scenery for NASCAR, especially after competing at two 1.5 mile tracks over the previous weeks that saw no real action during the race.

Las Vegas last week was all over the news but not for the racing. Instead the focus was on Kyle Busch and Joey Logano fighting when the race was over. It’s been almost a week now and NASCAR has dealt with both drivers, but will their feud play out during the Phoenix race?

Whenever NASCAR heads to Phoenix Kevin Harvick gets brought up and for a good reason; Harvick has won this race eight times in his career. He ran well at Atlanta but ran into bad luck at Vegas and was knocked out of the race early. Will he be the juggernaut he usually is at Phoenix or is his time as the top driver at this track up?

The race at Phoenix will be hot and the surface will be slick. Drivers will have their hands full on Sunday as they try to win and lock themselves into the Playoffs. Before the race starts though, here are five predictions for the Camping World 500.
