NASCAR: 5 Lessons Learned From The Camping World 500 At Phoenix
Kyle Busch Has Moved on
If you were watching the pre-race segments before the Camping World 500 on Sunday, you may have thought you were getting ready to watch a boxing match instead of a race.
It seemed like the entire world of NASCAR was talking about the Logano-Busch scuffle from Las Vegas and the chances of their “feud” spilling over into the Phoenix race this Sunday.
Undoubtedly the press around the fight made for good TV for NASCAR. After Logano reached out to Busch during the week and NASCAR spoke to both drivers at Phoenix, there was very little chance that these two would battle it out on the track.
When the race started Logano was able to lead throughout the first stage, and even during the race the commentary team made mentions of how Busch was trying to catch up to Logano and his yellow car.
Of course he was; Kyle Busch, like every other driver, was trying to win the race.
Even when the two drivers raced around each other nothing happened. And when Logano blew a tire and hit the wall, bringing out a caution that played a role in Kyle Busch losing the race on Sunday, did he go up to Logano after the race?
No, nothing happened between these two and probably won’t for at least several more weeks or possibly the entire season.
The feud between Busch and Logano is over and no matter how much NASCAR tries to milk their scuffle for ratings it won’t change the fact that both drivers are more focused on winning races than fighting with each other.
