NASCAR: 5 Predictions For The Food City 500 At Bristol
NASCAR is headed to the The Last Great Colosseum, Bristol Motor Speedway, this weekend. What will happen at this short track? Here are five predictions.
With the Easter Weekend break over and NASCAR heading back to the track, fans are in for what will hopefully be one of the better races of the regular season.
Bristol Motor Speedway is one of NASCAR’s top tracks and could produce another short track racing experience like we saw at Martinsville a couple of weeks back.
But before the race starts, NASCAR is running into problems with weather and has had to cancel qualifying and shift practice times around. Will the race get rained out this weekend? And if it does how will that impact drivers?
One of the best parts of short track racing is how drivers choose to bump one another out of the way to make a pass. This typically leads to a few angry arguments between drivers, and aggressive driving on the track. Who will go home unhappy at Bristol? Will we see any new rivalries flare up or will old ones be re-ignited?
Bristol can also be one of the tougher tracks to get used to in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series circuit, especially for rookie drivers. Erik Jones and Daniel Suarez have been at the forefront of rookie talk in NASCAR, but will this track end up showing that one of these drivers is making bigger strides than the other?
The Food City 500 will hopefully run on Sunday, but before the race starts, here are five predictions as we get ready for short track racing at Thunder Valley.
