The GEICO 500 at Talladega is this Sunday. Before the race starts, here are five predictions for the race.

NASCAR is headed to the second superspeedway race of the 2017 season. Talladega can be just as wild as Daytona and luck will play a huge factor in who ends up in Victory Lane on Sunday.

This is one of the best parts of tracks like Daytona and Talladega. They are more about driving smart and surviving than just speed alone. Of course the major teams still have an advantage, but superspeedways give the underdogs a chance to shine as well.

After the destruction we saw at Daytona during the start of the season, what should fans expect at Talladega? Will the race be filled with wrecks, or was Daytona just a fluke?

One name that is always connected to Talladega is Dale Earnhardt Jr. Junior has won at Talladega several times in his career. Even though he is struggling this season, should he still be considered a favorite to win on Sunday?

Last week’s winner Joey Logano will be dealing with a major issue heading into Talladega. He, along with his teammate Brad Keselowski, will be without their crew chiefs. Both Penske drivers have historically run well at ‘Dega, but will the lack of their main crew chiefs end up impacting their performance on Sunday?

Talladega is one of NASCAR’s biggest races and can be one filled with wrecks. Before the race starts on Sunday, here are five predictions for the GEICO 500.
