Motorsports TV Schedule for May 18 to 21

Activity has picked up, and the racing gets more exciting as the month of May rolls on with this week’s motorsports TV schedule.

Halfway through the month of May, and the motorsports TV schedule grows closer and closer to the excitement of Memorial Day weekend. This weekend’s racing activity will help set the stage for a busy end to spring in the motorsports world.

NASCAR will take the weekend off from points racing mostly as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races in the All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. With a smaller field than most points races, some cars will attempt to qualify in through the All-Star Open on Saturday afternoon, followed by the main event that evening. The Camping World Truck Series will also be in action from NASCAR’s backyard, racing on Friday night at the 1.5-mile oval.

IndyCar meanwhile will begin their activity ahead of the 101st Indianapolis 500. Qualifying is the big story for this weekend, with the full field of 33 being set over the two days. Positions outside the top spots will be set on Saturday, followed by Pole Day on Sunday.

In the rest of the motorsports world, there will be lots of racing to see too. Formula E takes on their second race in as many weeks, racing this time from the streets of Paris, France. Meanwhile, AMA moves from the stadiums to the dirt tracks with Motocross from Sacramento. Finally, the ARCA Racing Series will compete on the Toledo Speedway oval on Sunday.
