The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Bristol for the second time this season in the 24th race of the season. Which drivers have the best chance of winning?

The NASCAR Cup Series is set to make its second visit of the 2017 season to the 0.533-mile Bristol Motor Speedway oval in Bristol, Tennessee on Saturday, August 19th. The race is the 24th of the season, meaning just two races remain after it before the playoffs begin.

The first Bristol race of the season was postponed due to weather. The delayed race was won by Jimmie Johnson for his second victory of the season after he started in 11th place and led 81 of the race’s 500 laps. Clint Bowyer, Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth and Joey Logano rounded out the top 5.

That race was just the eighth of 26 regular season races, so the stakes are much higher this time around at the “Last Great Colosseum.” A total of 13 drivers are locked into the playoffs, with drivers like Chase Elliott, Jamie McMurray and Matt Kenseth looking to secure their spots as drivers like Clint Bowyer, Joey Logano, Erik Jones and Daniel Suarez look to move to the inside of the playoff bubble, with winning being the only sure way of doing so.

Let’s have a look at the five drivers with the best chance at taking the checkered flag at this year’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race.
