The 2018 Formula One driver lineups for Mercedes and Ferrari are all but set. But which drivers will end up with those teams in the 2019 season?

The 2017 Formula One season is coming to a close as just four races remain. They will be held in the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Abu Dhabi. While not everything is set in stone in terms of which drivers will be driving with which top teams next season, namely Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport and Scuderia Ferrari, we pretty much know who will be where.

Mercedes’ current two drivers are three-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, while Ferrari’s current two drivers are four-time Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel and 2007 Formula One champion Kimi Raikkonen. All of them appear to be returning to their respective teams in 2018.

It’s the 2019 driver lineups of Mercedes and Ferrari and all of the questions surrounding them that have people talking and speculating, which is exactly what this article will get into.

But let’s start with what we know, or at least what we think we know, which is which drivers will be driving for Mercedes and Ferrari in the 2018 season, as discussed above. Most of the puzzle pieces of the puzzle are already in place, while the ones that aren’t are sitting ready to click into place.
