C-. Richard Petty Motorsport’s lone driver Aric Almirola missed seven races with a back injury he suffered in a wreck at Kansas this season. In the 29 races he raced in, he finished in the top 10 six times with two season-high 4th place results. His replacement drivers did not finish higher than 11th in the seven races he missed.. C. Roush Fenway Racing got back to Victory Lane this season for the first time since 2014 when Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won at Talladega before he won again at Daytona. However, aside of those two wins, this team’s two drivers were not particularly strong throughout the season. Stenhouse Jr. only qualified for the playoffs because of his two victories..
