Every sport has its greatest athletes of all-time. This is the case for racing as well. Here are the 10 best drivers in NASCAR Cup Series history.
Another NASCAR Cup Series season has come to a close, this one closing with Martin Truex Jr. winning his first career championship this past season and becoming the sport’s fourth different champion in the last four seasons.
But the 2018 season is quickly approaching, as it begins on Sunday, February 18th with the Daytona 500. In fact, none of the three major racing series, including NASCAR, IndyCar and Formula One, are in action right now, as all are now in the offseason between the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
With everything pretty much at a halt right now and still a solid amount of time until the next seasons begin, this is a perfect time to look back at the history of each of these three racing series as far as the top 10 drivers of all-time go.
This article will rank the top 10 drivers in the history of the NASCAR Cup Series.
Note that these rankings involves= only information from the Cup Series careers of each of these 10 drivers. Statistics from any other races series, such as the Xfinity Series or Truck Series, are not factored into these rankings.
