With no NASCAR Cup Series, Verizon IndyCar Series, Formula 1 or Formula E races this Easter weekend, what sports are there to watch on television?

From the time NASCAR starts with Daytona 500 qualifying and the Advance Auto Parts Clash in early February until the Formula 1 season comes to an end in late November, there are only two weekends that feature no races across the NASCAR Cup Series, the Verizon IndyCar Series, Formula 1 and Formula E.

This weekend, Easter weekend, is one of those two weekends. The other weekend is the weekend of Saturday, June 16th and Sunday, June 17th. However, on that weekend, the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Truck Series still race at Iowa Speedway.

This weekend, not even either of those two series are in action with Easter being on Sunday, April 1st this year, and none of the other four series are, either. With no racing to watch until next weekend given the fact that all of these series are off on Easter weekend, what sports are there to watch on television?

The most obvious answer is NCAA men’s basketball. The 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Final Four and National Championship Game are set to take place on Saturday, March 31st and Monday, April 2nd, respectively, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

On Saturday night at 6:09 pm ET, the No. 11 seed Loyola-Chicago Ramblers are set to take on the No. 3 seed Michigan Wolverines for the right to take on the winner of the game at 8:49 pm ET, which is set to feature the No. 1 seed Villanova Wildcats and the No. 1 seed Kansas Jayhawks, in the national championship on Monday night at 9:20 pm ET. All of these games are set to be broadcast live on TBS.

Another answer could be NCAA women’s basketball. The 2018 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Final Four and National Championship Game are set to take place on Friday, March 30th and Sunday, April 1st, respectively, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

On Friday night at 7:00 pm ET, the No. 1 seed Mississippi State Bulldogs are set to take on the No. 1 seed Louisville Cardinals for the right to take on the winner of the game at 9:30 pm ET, which is set to feature the No. 1 seed Connecticut Huskies and the No. 1 seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish, in the national championship game on Sunday night at 6:00 pm ET.

The two Final Four games are set to be broadcast live on ESPN2, while the national championship game is set to be broadcast live on ESPN.

There are also nine MLB games on Friday, 15 on Saturday and 12 more on Sunday in the first weekend of the 2018 MLB regular season. Friday features nine NBA games and six NHL games, while Saturday features five NBA games and 12 NHL games and Sunday features 13 NBA games and five NHL games as those two regular seasons are rapidly winding down and the playoff hunt is heating up.
