The 2018 Formula 1 season now has 19 races remaining, as the first two have been completed. Which drivers rank where in the power rankings?

The opening race of the 2018 Formula 1 season, which was the Australian Grand Prix, was held two weeks ago. Two weeks after winning that race as a result of a virtual safety car period, Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel won the Bahrain Grand Prix at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain in dominant fashion.

Vettel’s dominant win the the Bahrain Grand Prix helped him to extend his lead in the driver standings over Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Lewis Hamilton and the rest of the field to a rather comfortable margin given the fact that only two races have been contested so far in the 21-race 2018 season.

With Vettel having not yet failed to win a race so far this season, it is pretty clear that he deserves to be on top of both the formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings and the non-formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings. It is also pretty clear that Hamilton deserves to be in 2nd place right behind him after securing two consecutive podium finishes to open up the season.

Beyond that, however, many of the rankings may not look like you would have expected them to look coming into the weekend. In fact, they may not look anything like you would have expected them to look like at any point this season.

Here are the formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings and the non-formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings following the 2018 Bahrain Grand Prix at Bahrain International Circuit.
