Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Daniel Abt dominated the 2018 BMW i Berlin ePrix for his second victory of the 2017-2018 Formula E season.

Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Daniel Abt started from the pole position, recorded the fastest lap time and dominated the 2018 BMW i Berlin ePrix, the ninth race of the 2017-2018 Formula E season, en route to his second victory of the season and his second victory in the last five races.

Abt pulled away late and finished 6.758 seconds ahead of his teammate Lucas di Grassi, the defending Formula E champion who finished in second place for the fourth consecutive race but has still not won a race yet this season.

Abt’s win in the 45-lap race around the 10-turn, 1.398-mile (2.250-kilometer) Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit in Berlin, Germany made him the fourth driver with multiple victories so far this season.

In fact, only four drivers have won at least one race through nine races so far this season, and all four of them have won at least two races.

Rounding out the top five positions were championship leader and likely 2017-2018 champion Jean-Eric Vergne, who still hasn’t finished outside the top five this season, Sebastien Buemi and Oliver Turvey in third, fourth and fifth place, respectively.
