The 2018 Indy 500 is right around the corner. With the starting grid set, here are the team power rankings for this year’s running of the race.

Qualifying for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500, the sixth race of the 2018 IndyCar season, at the four-turn, 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval in Speedway, Indiana is in the books.

Ed Carpenter Racing’s Ed Carpenter is set to start the race from the pole position in his #20 Chevrolet alongside Team Penske teammates Simon Pagenaud in second place and Will Power in third in their #22 Chevrolet and #12 Chevrolet, respectively.

Following two more practice sessions, with one set to take place today and one set to take place on Carb Day, which is Friday, May 25, the 2018 Indy 500 is set to go green on Sunday, May 27.

Here are the Indy 500 Team Power Rankings for the 13 teams that have at least one driver in the field for the race. All 13 teams that entered the race with at least one driver had at least one driver qualify for it.

#13

Meyer Shank Racing. Honda. MEYER SHANK RACING. #13.

Meyer Shank Racing had a successful qualification run in that their lone driver, Jack Harvey, qualified for the race, but that is about it for the team on the positive side of things. His starting position of 31st place is a disappointment. The fact that Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, the team with which Meyer Shank Racing have a partnership, haven’t had much speed is also alarming. After not having much success with Harvey in last year’s Indy 500 despite the fact that they had a partnership with Andretti Autosport, the team that won the race, it doesn’t look all that great for Meyer Shank Racing in this year’s running of the event.
