Three of the six oval races on the 2018 IndyCar schedule are in the books. How do the sport’s 21 full-time oval drivers stack up against one another?

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon won the third oval race of the 2018 IndyCar season, as he won the DXC Technology 600 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. The oval racing portion of the season is now exactly halfway completed, as three oval races remain on the 2018 schedule.

Dixon won the 248-lap race around the high banks of the four-turn, 1.44-mile Texas Motor Speedway oval in his #9 Honda en route to becoming the third different race winner on an oval track through three oval races so far this season.

Dixon joined Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden, who won the first oval race of the season at ISM Raceway, and Team Penske’s Will Power, who won the second oval race of the season, the Indianapolis 500, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as an oval race winner in the 2018 season.

By winning at Texas Motor Speedway, Dixon became the first Honda driver to win an oval race so far this season, as Newgarden and Power drive the #1 Chevrolet and the #12 Chevrolet, respectively.
