Katherine Legge is set to make her NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in this weekend’s Rock N Roll Tequila 170 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship driver Katherine Legge is set to make her NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in this Saturday’s race, the Rock N Roll Tequila 170, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Legge is set to drive the #15 JD Motorsports Chevrolet in Saturday’s 75-lap race at the 13-turn, 2.258-mile (3.634-kilometer) Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

In addition to making her first career Xfinity Series start, which is her first career start in any NASCAR series, this weekend, the 38-year-old Briton is also set to drive in the Xfinity Series race at Road America in just over two weeks.

That race, the Johnsonville 180, is scheduled to be a 45-lap race around the 14-turn, 4.048-mile (6.515-kilometer) Road America road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 25.

Here is what Legge had to say about getting to drive in the Xfinity Series, according to Yahoo Sports.

"“Making my Xfinity Series debut will be a huge challenge. These cars are very different from what I’m used to driving in open-wheel and sports car racing, but I’ve built my career on diversity and going where opportunities take me. I hope to learn as much as I can at Mid-Ohio, and then apply that knowledge a couple of weeks later at Road America.”"

Legge’s racing career includes stints in the Atlantic Championship, where she won three races in her lone season, the 12-race 2005 season, en route to a third place finish in the championship standings, as well as Champ Car, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and IndyCar.
