How do the 21 full-time IndyCar oval drivers stack up against one another with just one oval race remaining in the 2018 season?

Heading into the sixth and final oval race of the 17-race 2018 IndyCar season, five different drivers have earned one victory in the five oval races that have been contested so far this season.

Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden led off the season with a victory in the race at ISM Raceway before his teammate Will Power followed that up with a victory in the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon proceeded to win his first oval race of the season in the race at Texas Motor Speedway before Schmidt Peterson Motorsports’ James Hinchcliffe earned his first oval victory of the season in the race at Iowa Speedway.

Most recently, Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi won the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway in dominant fashion, meaning there is a chance that a sixth different driver will have the opportunity to win the sixth and final oval race of the season, the Bommarito Automotive Group 500, at Gateway Motorsports Park this weekend.

There has been no clear top oval driver this season even though all but one of the oval races on the schedule have been contested.

How did Rossi’s victory and the rest of the action at Pocono Raceway affect the IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings? Here are the formulated IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings and the non-formulated IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings with just one oval race remaining on this year’s schedule.
