Brad Keselowski earned his third victory of the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season in the season’s 24th race, the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200.

Team Penske’s Brad Keselowski, who competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, entered the 24th race of the 33-race Xfinity Series season, the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200, having competed in four Xfinity Series races this year. He had won two of them.

Keselowski earned his third victory in his fifth race of the season in the 147-lap race around the four-turn, 1.366 (2.198-kilometer) Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina. He won the race in his #22 Ford by 0.738 seconds over second place finisher Cole Custer of Stewart-Haas Racing in his #00 Ford.

JR Motorsports’ Tyler Reddick was the highest finishing Chevrolet driver of the race. He finished in third place in his #9 Chevrolet. Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin was the highest finishing Toyota driver of the race. He finished in fourth in his #18 Toyota.

Chevrolet drivers took each of the seven positions from fifth through 11th place in the race. JR Motorsports teammates Elliott Sadler, Justin Allgaier and Michael Annett finished in fifth, seventh and 10th place in their #1 Chevrolet, #7 Chevrolet and #5 Chevrolet, respectively.

GMS Racing’s Chase Elliott finished the race in sixth place in his #23 Chevrolet. Richard Childress Racing teammates Matt Tifft, Ty Dillon and Daniel Hemric finished in eighth, ninth and 11th place in their #2 Chevrolet, #3 Chevrolet and #21 Chevrolet, respectively.

The race featured a total of 10 lead changes among five drivers. Aside of Keselowski, who led 35 laps, four other drivers led at least one lap of the race. Those drivers were Tommy Joe Martins, Ross Chastain, Kevin Harvick and J.J. Yeley.

Chastain, who finished the race in 25th place after starting from the pole position, led more laps than anybody else in the field with 90 laps led. He won stages one and two but was involved in an incident with Harvick late in the race.

The race also featured a total of six caution flag periods for 30 laps. Four of the six caution flag periods took place as a result of on-track incidents while the other two took place as a result of the endings of stages one and two like usual.

Of the 40 drivers who started the race, 30 finished it. A total of 18 drivers finished the race on the lead lap, as 12 drivers finished it but failed to do so.
