The 2019 IndyCar schedule has been finalized and revealed. Where and when will the 17 races on the schedule take place next year?

The 2019 IndyCar schedule has been released. While it looks very similar to the 2018 schedule, there are also a few notable differences to point out.

As far as the schedules being similar goes, both the 2018 and 2019 schedules feature 17 races. Of the 17 races on this year’s schedule, 15 are set to return to the schedule.

The only two races on this year’s schedule that are not on next year’s schedule are the races at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona and Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California. The race at ISM Raceway took place on the first Saturday in April, and the race at Sonoma Raceway is scheduled to take place in under two weeks on the third Sunday in September as the season finale.

The only two races that are on next year’s schedule that were not on this year’s schedule are the race at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, which was the final race added to the schedule and is scheduled to take place on the penultimate Sunday in March, and the race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, which is scheduled to take place on the third Sunday in September.

Of the 15 races that are on this year’s schedule and are set to return to next year’s schedule, 13 are scheduled to be held on the weekends on which they were held this year.

The only two races that are set to return to the schedule next year on different weekends than the weekends on which they were held this year are the races at Barber Motorsports Park and Iowa Speedway.

The race at Barber Motorsports Park took place on the fourth Sunday of April (really the first Monday of April since the race was suspended due to rain) this year, but it is scheduled to take place on the first Sunday in April next year.

The race at Iowa Speedway took place on the second Sunday of July this year, but it is scheduled to take place on the third weekend in July next year, and it is scheduled to take place on Saturday night as opposed to Sunday afternoon.
