With the offseason between the 2018 and 2019 NASCAR Cup Series seasons roughly halfway complete, here are the way-too-early driver power rankings for 2019.

A total of 34 drivers are likely compete full-time in the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season, although only 32 of them have been confirmed. Of the 32 drivers who have been confirmed, 26 competed in the series as full-time drivers last season while six of them did not.

Of the 26 drivers who competed full-time in the Cup Series last season and are set to return to the series as full-time drivers in the 2019 season, 22 are set to return to the teams for which they drove in the 2018 season while four are set to drive for different teams.

With the driver lineup of the 2019 season being almost set, how will the championship battle and the Sunoco Rookie of the Year Award battle play out?

Spire Sports + Entertainment have not yet announced who will drive the #77 Chevrolet in the 2019 season, which is set to be the team’s first season in the NASCAR Cup Series after purchasing the charter that was used by the now defunct Furniture Row Racing team to field the #78 Toyota. A favorite to drive the #77 Chevrolet has not yet emerged.
