Auto-Owners Insurance will continue their partnership with Martin Truex Jr. and sponsor him in the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season, his first season driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, and beyond.

After spending several seasons sponsoring Martin Truex Jr. during his five-year stint at Furniture Row Racing, Auto-Owners Insurance will continue their partnership with the 38-year-old Mayetta, New Jersey native by sponsoring him in his first NASCAR Cup Series season and beyond at Joe Gibbs Racing, as they have signed a multi-year contract with the team.

Truex Jr. is set to drive the #19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota in the 2019 season after Furniture Row Racing shut down following the conclusion of the 2018 season. He is set to replace Daniel Suarez, who is set to drive for Stewart-Haas Racing as Kurt Busch’s replacement behind the wheel of the #41 Ford.

Auto-Owners Insurance, which served as the primary sponsor of the #78 Toyota that Truex Jr. drove in three races in the 2016 season, six races in the 2017 season and six races in the 2018 season, are set to serve as the primary sponsor of his #19 Toyota for eight of the 36 races on the 2019 schedule.

This announcement follows the announcement that Bass Pro Shops, which have also had a lengthy partnership with Truex Jr., will serve as the primary sponsor of his #19 Toyota in 24 races on the 2019 schedule.

"“Auto-Owners has been an incredible partner for a long time. It means a lot to me for them to join us in the move to Joe Gibbs Racing this year. Auto-Owners has been very supportive as both a sponsor of our racing program and also the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation. We’ve had great success the past few years and we’re looking forward to continuing that this season as well.”"

Here is what Auto-Owners Insurance senior vice president of marketing and sales Mary Pierce had to say about the matter, according to NASCAR.

"“To us, Martin is more than just an awesome driver and spokesperson for Auto-Owners, he has truly become a dear friend to our team. We are excited to have the opportunity to continue our partnership with Martin and look forward to working with Joe Gibbs Racing and the No. 19 team as we root Martin on to another championship.”"
