A total of 25 entries are expected to take part in the 2019 IndyCar Spring Training test sessions at Circuit of the Americas.

IndyCar‘s “Spring Training” test sessions, which are separate from today’s test session at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, are scheduled to take place next Tuesday, February 12 and Wednesday, February 13 at Circuit of the Americas.

A total of 26 drivers are on the entry list for the test sessions at the 20-turn, 3.427-mile (5.515-kilometer) Circuit of the Americas road course in Austin, Texas, but only 25 cars are on the entry list.

The reason for this is the fact that Harding Steinbrenner Racing are set to field two cars, the #8 Honda and the #88 Honda, for Patricio O’Ward and Colton Herta, respectively, on a full-time basis throughout the 17-race 2019 season. Only one of these cars is set to take part in this test, but both drivers are set to drive it at some point.

All 21 of the full-time drivers are on the entry list for this test session. Of the other five drivers, one, the Juncos Racing driver, has not yet been confirmed. The other four drivers are Carlin’s RC Enerson, who does not have any ride lined up for the 2019 season, as well as Ed Carpenter Racing’s Ed Jones, Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey and Team Penske’s Helio Castroneves.
