How did Jean-Eric Vergne’s first victory of the 2018-2019 Formula E season and the rest of the action in the Sanya ePrix affect the Formula E Driver Power Rankings?

Defending Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne finally earned his first victory of the 2018-2019 Formula E season. He pulled it off in the 13-race season’s sixth race, the Sanya ePrix, at Sanya Street Circuit.

The DS Techeetah driver’s victory in the 36-lap race around the 11-turn, 1.156-mile (1.860-kilometer) Sanya Street Circuit temporary street circuit in Sanya, China made him the sixth different winner through the first six races of the 2018-2019 season.

BMW i Andretti Motorsport’s Antonio Felix da Costa, Mahindra Racing’s Jerome d’Ambrosio, Envision Virgin Racing’s Sam Bird, Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Lucas di Grassi and Venturi’s Edoardo Mortara all won exactly one of the season’s first five races. Only five different drivers won at least one race throughout the course of the 12-race 2017-2018 season.
