How do the IndyCar Team Power Rankings look following Harding Steinbrenner Racing’s maiden victory in the IndyCar Classic at Circuit of the Americas?

In just the second IndyCar race since Harding Racing formed a partnership with Steinbrenner Racing to become Harding Steinbrenner Racing, the team found victory lane for the first time, as their lone driver, rookie Colton Herta, won the 2019 season’s second race, the IndyCar Classic, at Circuit of the Americas, which was the first ever race at the track.

Harding Racing competed full-time in IndyCar for the first time last season, and they competed as a Chevrolet-powered team.

But after the team’s partnership with Steinbrenner Racing, which had never previously competed in IndyCar but did compete in Indy Lights in the 2017 and 2018 season, was formed, Harding Steinbrenner Racing switched their engine manufacturer from Chevrolet to Honda.

Herta’s victory in this 60-lap race around the 20-turn, 3.41-mile (5.488-kilometer) Circuit of the Americas road course in Austin, Texas made Harding Steinbrenner Racing the first Honda team to win a race this season and the second different team to win a race through the season’s first two races.

Team Penske are the other team that have won a race this season. Josef Newgarden won the season opener, the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida for the team just over two weeks ago.

How did Harding Steinbrenner Racing’s maiden IndyCar victory affect the IndyCar Team Power Rankings? Here are the formulated IndyCar Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated IndyCar Team Power Rankings following the series first ever race at Circuit of the Americas.
