The 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule was released earlier this week, and many of the changes reflect changes made to the 2020 Cup Series schedule.

The 36-race 2020 NASCAR Cup Series schedule was released last week, and the same 24 tracks are on the schedule that were on the 2019 schedule.

Additionally, the same 12 tracks that are scheduled to host one race this season are scheduled to host one race next season and the same 12 tracks are scheduled to host two races this season are scheduled to host two races next season. That said, this schedule featured quite a few changes in terms of which races are scheduled to be held when.

Now the 33-race 2020 Xfinity Series schedule has been released, and there are quite a few changes in terms of which races are scheduled to be held when. Many of these changes correlate with the changes made to the Cup Series schedule.

More from Xfinity Series

In fact, of the 33 races on the 2020 schedule, 29 are scheduled to take place on the same weekend and at the same tracks as Cup Series races. The four Xfinity Series races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Iowa Speedway and Road America are the exceptions, and there are no Cup Series races on the schedule at any of these four tracks.

However, while the 2019 schedule features 23 tracks, including 13 that are scheduled to host one race and 10 that are scheduled to host two races, the 2020 schedule features 24 tracks, including 15 that are scheduled to host one race and nine that are scheduled to host two races.

Martinsville Speedway is not scheduled to host a race in the 2019 season, but it was added to the schedule as the host of one race in the 2020 season. Meanwhile, Richmond Raceway is scheduled to host two races in the 2019 season but only one race in the 2020 season.

Here is the full 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule. Races 27 through 33 are playoff races, marking a heavily revised playoff schedule for the 2020 season compared to the 2019 season, just like when it comes to the Cup Series.
