NASCAR Xfinity Series: Tyler Reddick wins 2019 LTi Printing 250

Tyler Reddick earned his third victory of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season by winning the season’s 13th race, the LTi Printing 250, at Michigan International Speedway.

Richard Childress Racing’s Tyler Reddick tied fellow full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers Christopher Bell of Joe Gibbs Racing and Cole Custer of Stewart-Haas Racing as well as full-time Cup Series driver Kyle Busch atop the wins list through 13 of 33 races on the 2019 Xfinity Series schedule by earning his third victory of the season.

Reddick won the season’s 13th race, the LTi Printing 250, at Michigan International Speedway after winning its ninth and 11th races at Talladega Superspeedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway, respectively.

The defending Xfinity Series champion has now won three of the last five races and recorded five consecutive top three finishes and 10 consecutive top four finishes. His average finishing position in the last 10 races is a blistering 2.30.

Reddick, who started the 125-lap race around the four-turn, 2.0-mile (3.219-kilometer) Michigan International Speedway oval in Brooklyn, Michigan in 10th place in his #2 Chevrolet, won it by 1.515 seconds over JR Motorsports’ Noah Gragson, who finished in second in his #9 Chevrolet.

JR Motorsports’ Michael Annett finished in third place in his #1 Chevrolet, giving JR Motorsports two of the top three positions. Team Penske’s Paul Menard, who started the race from the pole position, was the highest finishing Ford driver of the race. He finished in fourth in his #12 Ford.

JR Motorsports’ Justin Allgaier finished in fifth place in his #7 Chevrolet, giving JR Motorsports three of the top five positions. Joe Gibbs Racing’s Brandon Jones was the highest finishing Toyota driver of the race. He finished in sixth in his #19 Toyota.

Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe finished in seventh place in his #98 Ford ahead of GMS Racing’s John Hunter Nemechek in eighth in his #23 Chevrolet and JR Motorsports’ Jeb Burton in ninth in his #8 Chevrolet. Burton gave JR Motorsports four of the top nine positions. Kaulig Racing’s Justin Haley rounded out the top 10 by finishing in 10th in his #11 Chevrolet.

This race featured a total of only five lead changes among five drivers. Aside of Reddick, who led 11 laps of the race, four other drivers led at least one lap. These four drivers were Menard, who led more laps than anybody else in the field with 57 laps led, Custer, Bell and Rick Ware Racing’s Bayley Currey. Menard won stage one while Bell won stage two.

This race also featured a total of six caution flag periods, including four for on-track incidents and two for the usual endings of stages one and two. Of the 38 drivers who started the race, 28 finished it, and of these 28 drivers, 18 finished on the lead lap.
