Following Chase Elliott’s dominant performance at Watkins Glen International, which drivers and teams rank where in the NASCAR Cup Series Power Rankings?

Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott ended a long dry spell of seven consecutive races spanning more than two months without a top 10 finish in the NASCAR Cup Series. His average finishing position was an abysmal 26.43 during this span.

He did so by securing his second victory of the season in the 36-race 2019 season’s 22nd race, the Go Bowling at The Glen, at Watkins Glen International. He also won the race at Talladega Superspeedway in late April.

Elliott dominated this 90-lap race around the eight-turn, 2.454-mile (3.949-kilometer) Watkins Glen International road course in Watkins Glen, New York en route to winning it for a second consecutive season.

He has now led 132 of the 180 laps that have been contested at this track over the last two seasons, including 132 of the last 154, 114 of the last 124 and 80 of the 90 that were contested there on Sunday.

Elliott’s victory made him the sixth driver to win multiple races this season, and it made Hendrick Motorsports the third team to win at least three races so far this season. Alex Bowman won the race at Chicagoland Speedway for the team in late June.

Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. have each won four races while Denny Hamlin has won three races for the team, giving them a series-high 11 victories so far in 2019, while Team Penske teammates Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano have won three races and two races, respectively, giving the team five victories so far this year.
