Tyler Reddick won the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season finale, the Ford EcoBoost 300, to secure his second consecutive championship at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

For the second consecutive NASCAR Xfinity Series, Tyler Reddick won the season finale, the Ford EcoBoost 300, at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and for the second consecutive season, he won the championship in doing so.

Reddick started this 200-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Homestead-Miami Speedway oval in Homestead, Florida from the pole position in his #2 Chevrolet, and he won it by 1.038 seconds over championship rival Cole Custer of Stewart-Haas Racing in second place in his #00 Ford.

This finish marks the second consecutive 1-2 finish in the season finale and in the championship standings for Reddick and Custer.

Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe and JR Motorsports’ Noah Gragson were the highest finishing non-Championship 4 drivers of this race. They finished in third and fourth place in their #00 Ford and #9 Chevrolet, respectively, after they were both eliminated from the playoffs following the round of 8.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell, like Reddick and Custer, was a Championship 4 driver, and like both of them, he was a Championship 4 driver last year as well. Once again, he fell short of the title, finishing in fifth place in his #20 Toyota for a third place finish in the championship standings.

GMS Racing’s John Hunter Nemechek, Team Penske’s Austin Cindric, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Brandon Jones, JR Motorsports’ Jeb Burton and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Harrison Burton rounded out the top 10 by finishing in sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th place in their #23 Chevrolet, #22 Ford, #19 Toyota, #8 Chevrolet and #18 Toyota, respectively.

The other Championship 4 driver, JR Motorsports’ Justin Allgaier, finished in 14th place after running in the top seven before one of his tires of his #7 Chevrolet went flat late in the race.

This race featured 15 lead changes among six leaders. Reddick led more laps than anybody else in the field with 84 laps led. Custer, Briscoe, Gragson, Bell and Cindric also led laps, with Briscoe winning stage one and Cindric leading stage two. This race featured seven caution flag periods, and 29 of the 38 drivers who started the race finished it, with eight finishing on the lead lap.
