Drivers typically in the running for “best of the rest” made up five of the top six positions as a result of the late attrition involving the usual contenders as well as a post-race penalty stripping one of them of a podium finish.
Four of the five drivers who recorded season-high finishes in this race moved up in these rankings, and two of them moved up multiple positions. Three of the four drivers who recorded career-high finishes moved up as well, with one moving up multiple spots.
