NASCAR: Busch running special giveaway for Kansas race
By Asher Fair
Busch Beer is running a special Busch Light Apple giveaway during Thursday night’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway.
Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick debuted a new Busch Beer paint scheme on his #4 Ford at Bristol Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race last Wednesday night to celebrate Busch Light’s first-ever flavor innovation, Busch Light Apple.
The 44-year-old Bakersfield, California native is set to run this scheme again in tonight’s Super Start Batteries 400 at Kansas Speedway. This race marks the first points-paying race for this new paint scheme.
It also marks the first race in which the scheme is set to appear with the car number in its traditional spot, as the numbers were shifted toward the rear tires for the All-Star Race.

Busch Light Apple is available only for a limited time in packs of 12, 24 or 30 12-ounce cans as well as 16-ounce cans in select states across the country, but fans will have a chance to win one tonight.
During the 267-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Kansas City, Kansas, Busch is set to give away a case worth of beer every single lap. All fans have to do is tweet #BuschLightApple and #Sweepstakes throughout the event, and they will have a chance to win on each and every lap.
Following a random qualifying draw, Harvick’s #4 Busch Light Apple Ford is set to start this 267-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Kansas City, Kansas from the pole position.
Harvick has started from the pole position at the track on five previous occasions in 28 starts. He is a three-time winner there, with his most recent win coming in May of 2018. He finished in 13th and ninth place in the two races there last year.
There will be other opportunities throughout the day to be noticed by Busch, so be sure to stay tuned into the race and their Twitter account for updates.
Harvick is set to run this paint scheme again in both races of the Michigan International Speedway doubleheader on Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9 as well.
