Bubba Wallace is in a contract year at Richard Petty Motorsports. Where might he end up competing in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season?

No driver has been talked about more than Bubba Wallace has so far in the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season. While there have been many controversial discussions about the driver of the #43 Richard Petty Motorsports Chevrolet, his performance behind the wheel of what was recently a backmarker car has been well worth a lengthy discussion of its own.

Wallace’s first two seasons behind the wheel of the #43 Chevrolet netted him two finishes of 28th place in the championship standings. But through the first 26 races of the 2020 season, he sits all the way up in 22nd and came four positions shy of securing his first playoff berth with a fifth place finish in the regular season finale at Daytona International Speedway.

But the 26-year-old Mobile, Alabama native is in a contract year with Richard Petty Motorsports, which are still a far cry from being one of the more financially stable and competitive teams at NASCAR’s top level of competition.

Will he return for a fourth season as the full-time driver of the #43 car next year, or will he move on to another team?

Here are four possible landing spots for Wallace in 2021.
