With the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season in the books, let’s take a look at the way-too-early power rankings for the 2021 season.

Effectively in must-win situations for two straight weekends, Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott won back-to-back races at Martinsville Speedway and Phoenix Raceway for the first time in his NASCAR Cup Series career to secure his first championship in his fifth full season of competition.

Where do Elliott and the rest of the field stack up in the way-too-early power rankings for the 2021 season three months until the green flag is scheduled to fly at Daytona International Speedway for the 63rd annual Daytona 500?

NOTE: Not all drivers listed are confirmed for the 2021 season; unconfirmed drivers will be denoted as unconfirmed drivers.

Way-too-early 2021 NASCAR Power Rankings: #31

#31. . No. 00. StarCom Racing, Chevrolet. QUIN HOUFF

Quin Houff had a rookie season that saw him in the news many times for the wrong reasons, including for an outcome-changing incident at Texas Motor Speedway while running multiple laps down. He is set to return for a second season behind the wheel of the #00 Chevrolet for StarCom Racing next year, and he will be looking to improve. The highlight of his 2020 season was his career-high 13th place finish at Talladega Superspeedway in early October, when eight drivers notched career-best finishes. Before that race, his career-best result was a 23rd place effort at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
