NASCAR announces time change for upcoming race

The start time for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Michigan International Speedway next month has been slightly pushed back.
NASCAR is currently in the midst of a three-week hiatus due to the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, with action scheduled to resume for all three national series at Watkins Glen International next weekend after leaving off at New Hampshire Motor Speedway two weekends ago.
Two weeks after NASCAR’s return to action on the weekend of Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 8, the Xfinity Series and the Cup Series are both scheduled to run at Michigan International Speedway.

The Xfinity Series race is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 21, and the Cup Series race is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 22. The race weekend is also set to feature an ARCA Menards Series race, the Henry Ford Health System 200, on Friday, August 20.
NASCAR has now announced that the start time for the Xfinity Series race has been slightly changed.

This 125-lap New Holland 250 at the four-turn, 2.0-mile (3.219-kilometer) oval in Brooklyn, Michigan is now set to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET as opposed to 3:00 p.m. ET. NBC Sports Network is still slated to provide live coverage. No official reason was given for the slight delay in the release.
No change was announced for the following afternoon’s 200-lap FireKeepers Casino 400. This race is still set to be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET.

The New Holland 250 is the 22nd of 26 races on the 2021 Xfinity Series regular season schedule while the FireKeepers Casino 400 is the penultimate race of the 26-race 2021 Cup Series regular season schedule.
