With the starting lineup set, who are the favorites to win the final NASCAR Cup Series playoff race of the round of 12 this Sunday afternoon?

The second round, the round of 12, of the four-round, 10-race 2021 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs is set to come to an end this Sunday afternoon with the Bank of America ROVAL 400.

After this race, there will be just four races remaining on this year’s schedule: three in the round of 8 and then the championship decider in the Championship 4.

Who is on pole for Charlotte?

As a result of NASCAR’s starting lineup formula, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin is set to start this race from the pole position behind the wheel of his #11 Toyota.

The top 12 remaining championship contenders are guaranteed to start inside the top 12, as none of the other drivers are included in the calculation until those first 12 positions are filled.

Charlotte betting prediction

In any road course race, especially one in which he has come from behind to win for two straight seasons, it’s hard to bet against Chase Elliott, who is tied for the series lead with two road course wins this season and leads the series in all-time road course wins with seven, which is just two shy of the all-time record, despite the fact that he is still only 25 years old.

But naturally, Kyle Larson is hard to pass up as well, given the fact that he has also won two road course races this season. Let’s also not forget that until a late incident in the 2018 race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, he was the driver to beat. With odds considerably longer than Elliott has, he could be a bargain.

As for who to keep an eye on aside from the two obvious favorites, look no further than the only other two road course race winners this season: Christopher Bell and A.J. Allmendinger.

Make your pick now on WynnBET.

While Bell’s win at the Daytona International Speedway road course probably should have been Elliott’s if not for a phantom rain caution, he has proven throughout the rest of the season that it was no fluke, as he has been a consistent frontrunner in road course races. He will probably need to win to advance to the round of 8 as well, which will surely up his aggression.

And then there is Allmendinger, who won the inaugural race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course as a part-time driver. He also happens to be a former front row starter at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval in the Cup Series, and he is a two-time winner there in the Xfinity Series — and in two starts. Odds of +2000 are a bargain.

One other driver to watch is Alex Bowman. At +2500, he is hard to pass up, given the fact that his first three starts at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval have produced results of fourth, second and eighth place, respectively, good for an average of 4.67. He is also in need of a win in order to advance to the round of 8.
