There are just two races remaining until the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway. How far is everybody from the cut line?

Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson did what most expected him to do and locked up a spot in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 with a dominant win on Sunday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway.

Larson’s win does absolutely nothing in terms of shaking up the playoff picture; he has been the betting favorite to win the title, according to WynnBET, since early June, and he opened up each of the first three rounds of the playoffs with a comfortable points lead thanks to the playoff points he has accrued throughout the year.

So Larson clinching his first career Championship 4 berth was practically a lock entering the round of 8.

However, the battle behind Larson among the seven other championship contenders for the final three spots in the winner-take-all race at Phoenix Raceway only heated up on Sunday, and it figures to only get more intense over the next two weekends.

Most of those seven drivers experienced some sort of issue throughout Sunday’s 334-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Fort Worth, Texas, though only two saw their races end because of those issues. Not shockingly, those two drivers now find themselves in seventh and eighth place in the standings with two races remaining in the round of 8.

Before the middle race of the semifinal round at Kansas Speedway, where is the playoff cut line, and how far ahead or behind it are the drivers who are still vying to join Larson?
