A Martinsville Speedway fan aimed and landed a perfect blow to Denny Hamlin’s #11 Toyota after Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series playoff race with a can of beer.

Two cars were on the scene of what should have been Alex Bowman’s victory celebration on Sunday at Martinsville Speedway at the conclusion of the round of 8 of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.

In a late battle for the lead, Bowman had made contact with Denny Hamlin in turn three of the four-turn, 0.526-mile (0.847-kilometer) oval in Ridgeway, Virginia a few minutes earlier, sending the #11 Toyota spinning and bringing out the final caution flag of the 501-lap race.

Bowman was able to hold off Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski, who were both in need of a win to advance to the Championship 4, after the overtime restart to claim his fourth win of the year, an all-time record for a “hack” who is supposedly terrible and supposedly gets beaten every week by his teammates.

Hamlin had to settle for 24th place, though he did advance to the Championship 4 anyway.

Still, seeing the lead and the win go out the window due to late contact left Hamlin fuming, and in frustration, he drove up to Bowman’s #48 Chevrolet on the front straightaway during what was supposed to be Bowman’s victory celebration.

Hamlin made contact with Bowman’s car and flipped him the double bird before driving away and giving a profanity-laced live TV interview amid thousands of boos from the crowd (more than just the Chase Elliott fans).

But one fan’s disdain for Hamlin came in the form of something much different than a boo.

A fan with pinpoint accuracy launched a beer car over the fence, and it slammed right into the windshield of the #11 Toyota.

Take a look.

Here’s another angle.
