One of the expected entries for this Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Road America will not be competing after all.

The entry list for Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Road America, the Kwik Trip 250 presented by JOCKEY Made in America, was released on Monday, and it features 37 cars.

Of those 37 cars, 36 are the chartered entries that compete in each and every race. The one non-chartered entry is the #27 Team Hezeberg powered by Reaume Brothers Racing Ford, which is set to be driven by Loris Hezemans.

The team made their Cup Series debut with Jacques Villeneuve behind the wheel of the #27 Ford in the season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway back in February. Hezemans made his Cup Series debut behind the wheel at Circuit of the Americas back in March in the team’s second start.

Also back in March, Team Stange Racing announced that they planned to run an eight-race schedule in 2022 with the #79 Ford.

The new entry was set to make its debut with Tarso Marques behind the wheel in this Sunday afternoon’s 62-lap race around the 14-turn, 4.048-mile (6.515-kilometer) natural terrain road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

However, the team will not compete in this race.

Their plan is still to compete in the other seven races on the schedule they announced back in March. The first of those seven races is the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 31.

They are also set to compete in the race at Watkins Glen International on Sunday, August 21 and the regular season finale at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, August 27.

They also plan to compete in the playoff races at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval on Sunday, October 9, Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, October 16, and Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, October 23, plus the season finale at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, November 6.
