The starting lineup for Saturday afternoon’s IndyCar race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course is set following Friday afternoon’s qualifying session.

IndyCar is back home again in Indiana this weekend, this time for the Gallagher Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

This race is scheduled to be an 85-lap race around the 13-turn, 2.439-mile (3.925-kilometer) road course in Speedway, Indiana, a track which also hosted a race back in mid-May before the 106th running of the Indy 500 at the venue’s oval layout.

Arrow McLaren SP’s Felix Rosenqvist took the pole position for Saturday afternoon’s race in Friday afternoon’s qualifying session, doing so by recording the fastest lap time in the third and final round of qualifying, the Firestone Fast Six.

Rosenqvist took the pole position with a top lap time of 70.2265 seconds (125.030 miles per hour) behind the wheel of his #7 Chevrolet, beating Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi by 0.2765 seconds (0.491 miles per hour). Rossi is set to join Rosenqvist on the front row behind the wheel of his #27 Honda.

Andretti Autosport’s Colton Herta, who won at the track back in May, is set to start in ninth place behind the wheel of his #26 Honda. Points leader Marcus Ericsson is set to start in 25th (last) behind the wheel of his #8 Honda after not making a qualifying attempt as a result of a mechanical precaution.
