Drivers who could join Joe Gibbs Racing: No. 3 – Connor Mosack

After making the first two starts of his NASCAR Xfinity Series career in 2022, Connor Mosack landed an expanded part-time opportunity with Sam Hunt Racing for 2023.

In what is set to be the team’s first season with two entries, Mosack is slated to be the primary driver of the second entry, the No. 24 Toyota. The team confirmed that he is set to drive the car in 20 races on the 33-race schedule, though the exact races haven’t yet been confirmed.

But Sam Hunt Racing wasn’t the only team for which the 23-year-old Charlotte, North Carolina native competed during the 2022 Xfinity Series.

He made his series debut in the race at Portland International Raceway for Joe Gibbs Racing before competing in the race at Watkins Glen International for Sam Hunt Racing.

While he has yet to make his Xfinity Series oval debut, he does have plenty of oval experience in other series, and the fact that he is set to compete in 20 races for Sam Hunt Racing implies that he is set to compete in quite a few oval races in 2023.

So surely other potential starts, irrespective of discipline, should not be out of the question, especially with the vacancy at the only other Toyota team in the Xfinity Series.
