Who was the highest paid driver in the NASCAR Cup Series for the 2022 season? The top five on the list aren’t all that surprising.

Unlike in other sports leagues such as the NFL, NBA, or MLB, NASCAR Cup Series driver salaries aren’t generally made public when new deals are signed.

So who are the highest paid drivers at NASCAR’s top level?

Highest paid NASCAR drivers: No. 5 – Brad Keselowski

Brad Keselowski made the decision to leave Team Penske, the only team for which he had competed in the NASCAR Cup Series, after his 12th season with the team in 2021.

He earned 34 of his 35 victories, a total that puts him 24th on the all-time wins list, with Roger Penske’s team, and he also won the 2012 championship.

Keselowski vacated the No. 2 Ford and joined Roush Fenway Racing, which have since been renamed RFK Racing as a result of his arrival as not only the driver of the No. 6 Ford but as a co-owner of the team along with legendary owner Jack Roush and Fenway Sports Group.

It’s no secret that the 38-year-old Rochester Hills, Michigan native had a rough first season with his new team, and his 11-year win streak, which had been tied for second longest among all drivers, came to an end. His current win drought, 62 races, is a career-long.

But Keselowski came to RFK Racing knowing that he and the team probably weren’t going to have success overnight. The question is, how long until they make that step forward?

Brad Keselowski salary: $9,400,000
