Joe Gibbs Racing’s NASCAR Xfinity Series lineup continues to fill up, with the team adding another driver who has never previously competed for the organization.

Joe Gibbs Racing are slowly but surely filling their driver lineup for the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, announcing a fourth part-time driver for the No. 19 Toyota on Wednesday.

Myatt Snider has competed full-time at NASCAR’s second highest level in each of the last three years, all with Chevrolet, but he is not set to do so in 2023. Instead, he is set to compete in select races for Joe Gibbs Racing behind the wheel of their “star car”.

Snider has competed for Toyota before, but not in the Xfinity Series. He competed in one Truck Series race for AM Racing in 2016 and made select starts with Kyle Busch Motorsports the following season. Additionally, he made one ARCA Menards Series start for Venturini Motorsports in 2019.

Six starts have been confirmed for the 28-year-old Charlotte, North Carolina native for the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season with Joe Gibbs Racing.

He is also set to compete at Daytona International Speedway (season opener) on Saturday, February 18; Portland International Raceway on Saturday, June 3; the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval on Saturday, October 7; Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, October 14; Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, October 28; and Phoenix Raceway (season finale) on Saturday, November 4.

This announcement leaves the No. 19 Toyota open for just 13 of 33 races on the schedule, as Joe Gibbs Racing had already confirmed three other drivers for this year: Ryan Truex, Connor Mosack, and Joe Graf Jr.

Truex is set to return for six races while Mosack is set to return for three. Graf, like Snider, has never previously competed for the team. He is set to compete in five races.

Sammy Smith and John Hunter Nemechek, who both competed in select races for the team last year, are set to compete full-time, replacing the Cup Series-bound Ty Gibbs and the JR Motorsports-bound Brandon Jones.
