Why did NASCAR change its logo for 2023?

NASCAR has a slightly different logo for the 2023 season, given the fact that this year marks the sport’s 75th season in existence.
The 2023 NASCAR season is underway, with all three national series at Daytona International Speedway this weekend.
The Truck Series opened things up on Friday, February 17 with the NextEra Energy 250, and the Xfinity Series is scheduled to get underway on Saturday, February 18 with the Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. 300.
Finally, the Cup Series is set to wrap up the action-packed weekend by getting underway on Sunday, February 19 with the 65th annual Daytona 500.
Prior to the start of these 23-race Truck Series, 33-race Xfinity Series, and 36-race Cup Series seasons, NASCAR changed their logo as a nod to the fact that this season is the sport’s 75th season in existence.

NASCAR was founded in 1948, and the first Cup Series season took place in 1949.
The new look is a diamond-centric look designed to honor the fact that 2023 is NASCAR’s Diamond Anniversary. The diamond look can be seen in NASCAR’s trademarked color bars on NASCAR’s website as well.
The 2023 Cup Series season is set to be the 75th season of Cup Series competition. Red Byron was the first series champion.
The modern-day Truck Series was established in 1995, so the 2023 season is its 29th. Mike Skinner was the first series champion. The modern-day Xfinity Series was established in 1982, so the 2023 season is set to be its 42nd. Jack Ingram was the first series champion.
Zane Smith is the reigning Truck Series champion, and he is back with Front Row Motorsports to try to defend his title. He won the season opener on Friday night, just as he did last year. Ty Gibbs is the reigning Xfinity Series champion, but he now competes in the Cup Series for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Joey Logano is the reigning Cup Series champion, and the two-time champion is back with Team Penske to try to become the first repeat champion since seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson won his fifth straight title in 2010.
