NASCAR: Fox announces booth change for two races

The Fox NASCAR broadcast booth has both extended Tony Stewart’s stay and confirmed a new member to fill the third spot alongside Mike Joy and Clint Bowyer.
Before Kevin Harvick joins lead announcer Mike Joy and analyst Clint Bowyer in the broadcast booth for all NASCAR Cup Series races on Fox and Fox Sports 1 in 2024 once he retires from driving, Fox is doing what they did last year and having different individuals fill the third spot in the booth throughout their portion of the schedule.
That third spot was initially vacated by Jeff Gordon, who spent six seasons in the booth after his own retirement from driving, when he left following the network’s 2021 portion of the schedule to focus on his new role as Vice Chairman of Hendrick Motorsports.
Tony Stewart was in the booth for the Busch Light Clash preseason exhibition race at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the official season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, just as he was last year.
It has since been confirmed that Tony Stewart is set to return to the Fox broadcast booth for two of the next four NASCAR Cup Series races.
One of these two races is this coming Sunday afternoon’s race at Auto Club Speedway. He is also set to join Joy and Bowyer for the race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 19. Matt Kenseth was in the booth at Auto Club Speedway last year, while Gordon made a one-race return to his former gig at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The two races in between these two upcoming races are scheduled to take place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 5 and Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, March 12. Danica Patrick is set to be in the booth for those two races, just as she was last year.
The race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday, March 26 is now the next closest race for which Fox has not confirmed a third member of the booth. Stewart was in the booth for that race last year.
