Danica Patrick won’t be back in the Fox broadcast booth for this coming Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Just as she did during the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season, Danica Patrick spent the two March races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Phoenix Raceway in the Fox broadcast booth with full-time lead announcer Mike Joy and analyst Clint Bowyer, one of her former Stewart-Haas Racing teammates.

Until Kevin Harvick, also a former Stewart-Haas Racing teammate, retires from Cup Series competition at the end of the 2023 season and joins the booth full-time in 2024, Fox is set to continue using several different former drivers to fill the third spot in the broadcast booth each race.

They have taken this approach since Jeff Gordon left after six seasons and opted to focus on his new Vice Chairman role at Hendrick Motorsports following the network’s 2021 portion of the broadcast schedule.

Danica Patrick won’t be back in the booth for this coming Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

However, instead of calling upon someone new to take her place, Fox is bringing back Tony Stewart to be the guest analyst for the Ambetter Health 400.

Stewart spent the season’s first three races (two points races) in the booth, joining Joy and Bowyer for the Busch Light Clash preseason exhibition race at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as well as the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway and the Pala Casino 400 at Auto Club Speedway.

Stewart was in the booth for three races last year, including the Clash, the Daytona 500, and the race at Circuit of the Americas. After this weekend, Circuit of the Americas is scheduled to host the season’s next race on Sunday, March 26.

Fox have not yet confirmed who will call that race alongside Joy and Bowyer.
